Poor Lydia. Always tries to do her job but doesn’t always make the right decisions. Guess its time to reload. Is this when you reload the game?

Skyrim: Creation Kit and Hi-Res Texture Pack now Available for Download

Bethesda has released its Creation Kit and Hi-Res Texture pack for Skyrim! They are available through the steam client. There will be a rating system as well for everyone to download and rate mods! I personally applaud Bethesda for releasing this kit. It will allow easier access for modders and the end users alike to enjoy newly created content.

Minecraft: Had to start building a new Castle this weekend

I decided to start building a larger structure in the mountainous regions away from our SMP town. This is what started to take shape.

I’m definitely more of a builder of utility than outside appearance.

The large room on the lower left will be a large farm which will have trees, melons, pumpkins and reeds. I will probably create another room that does cactus by itself though as I can funnel the drops into the big room. If there is room I may also try to get wheat in there as well. I will use pistons to harvest the reeds, melons and pumpkins as it can be done fairly easily. I have yet to figure out a way to collect the items after auto-harvesting (without re-planting). Stay tuned for updates to this minecraft construction. Please let me know if you have figured out a way to collect the harvested items with reasonable efficiency.

Minecraft: 1.1 Patch made me play this weekend

Minecraft patch 1.1 patch came out on the 12th and it had me playing this weekend. I backed up and updated my SMP server and got to work. One of the biggest updates for me was that bows can be enchanted. This had me fixing my spider spawner trap and getting my levels up so I could enchant some things. They also fixed the sheep not regrowing wool. It seems that I now can expand my barn and farmyard to include sheep of every color, so I can repeatedly clip them. There were quite a few other updates and I will post a few below along with the link to the update notes.

Bows are now enchantable, with four new enchantments specific to bows: Power, Punch, Infinity, and Flame.
Sheep eat Grass (converting it to Dirt) and Tall Grass to regain their Wool.
Sheep only drop 1-3 wool per shearing.
Leaves now have a 1/200 chance of dropping Red Apples.

Greatest RPG game of all Time? I would probably have to say Neverwinter Nights

We all have our favorite RPGs. I’m always in the middle of playing at least 3 or 4. But I was thinking to myself which one is the best? I came up with Neverwinter Nights because of the replay value, amounts of mods, amount of custom games, and true DM module building. Some of my favorites are:

Baldurs Gate Series
Planescape
Icewind Dale
Morrowind Series
Neverwinter Nights Series

Some I would like to try but haven’t yet:

Jade Empire
Mass Effect
Ultima Series

Which ones are your favorites and which one should I play next?

SWTOR: Leveling with the Girlfriend

My girlfriend and I have just landed on Balmorra and are getting ready to start our quests there. We group up about 50% of the time, and do separate crafting and story-line quests on our own. The Marauder and Sorcerer work fairly well together although at times a bit squishy without a tank. So far there really hasn’t been a battle that we couldn’t handle. We will probably step into the PVP zones after we are a little more comfortable with our characters. What class combos are you using with your GF/BF?

Well I’ve played Skyrim enough that I’m ready to install some mods. In Oblivion I used the better body mods with hi-res skin updates. What mods are you using and how are they working out for you? Is there a mod site that you like better than others?
